Dr. Harvey Carter received his certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1990, and since then has dedicated his career to improving the lives of his patients through LASIK and other forms of refractive surgery. After receiving his M.D. from Louisiana State University (1982), he completed his internship at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas (1983) and his residency at the Medical College of Georgia (1986).
Dr. Carter's professional affiliations include the Dallas County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association, the International Society for Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition, Dr. Carter is an active member of many community organizations, including the Dallas Museum of Art, the Kimbell Art Museum, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and the Horseless Carriage Club of America.
