ReZoom™

Dallas, Texas

Patients who want to achieve better vision, but who may not qualify for or do not want laser vision correction, may choose lens replacement surgery to reduce or eliminate their dependence on eyeglasses or contact lenses.

ReZOOM

If you experience any of these vision problems, or have been diagnosed with cataracts, the ReZoom™ Multifocal lens may be right for you:

  • Difficulty reading
  • Trouble seeing close objects
  • Nighttime driving is more challenging
  • Your vision prescription keeps changing
  • You need bifocals

The ReZoom™ multifocal lens provides excellent post- cataract surgery vision at a wide range of distances. ReZoom™ multifocal lenses correct distance vision and presbyopia so you can see at a distance and up close without dependency on glasses. Driving, watching television, reading or pursuing hobbies can once again be pleasurable.

The ReZoom™ Procedure

ReZoom™ Lens Replacement Surgery is similar to cataract surgery. Performed at The Carter Eye Center’s outpatient surgery center in Richardson, Texas, the ReZoom™ procedure begins with numbing of the eyes, using special drops. A tiny incision is made at the outer edge of the cornea. A microscopic instrument is inserted and, using ultrasound, the natural crystalline lens is broken into tiny pieces and removed from the eye through the probe. Your new intraocular lens is easily inserted through the same incision.

ReZoom™ is an excellent option for the treatment of cataracts and presbyopia. ReZoom™ offers Balanced View Optics™ Technology that creates multiple focal points, helping patients see well at distances and close up.

ReZoom™ Results and Risks

ReZoom™ provides good vision in varying light conditions, from low light commonly experienced at night to bright light conditions used to perform close vision activities.

Many ReZoom™ patients find freedom from glasses and contact lenses. Depending on your vision, your lifestyle and the anatomy of your eyes, you may still need glasses for reading or nighttime driving.

Although every surgical procedure has risks, the risks from ReZoom™ are minimal and rare. Infection is the biggest risk, however less than one percent of lens implant patients ever experience an infection. Those that do are successfully treated with medications.

If you have been diagnosed with cataracts or are simply seeking an alternative to LASIK or other vision correction procedures, schedule a vision evaluation at in Dallas, Texas to find out if ReZoom™ is right for you.
